Soann is a first-class architect office in Kita-ku, Osaka. Its principal, Kenji Nakahara, founded the office in 1987 and also chairs the NPO Yashironokiwami.
It designs Japanese and traditional houses, new homes, renovations, shops and clinics, and promotes Japanese building culture by building tea rooms abroad.
A single-storey timber 3-mat daime room. Yanase cedar, plaster and reed were brought from Japan, and panel units and a new method shortened the build. The opening was held by the head of the Mushakōjisenke school.
